Wonderful feedback from Justine Davy, Head of Fundraising at Fisher House, Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham:
"As a little update, over the last five years Fisher House has given over 21,000 nights of free accommodation to military patients and their families. It has hosted over 3,700 guests with over 800 of these being military patients themselves. We have seen a significant increase in usage of the house with 2017 seeing 971 people staying against 656 in 2016.
The impact of your support was potentially a monetary saving during that year of £38,000 in hotel and accommodation fees for UK military families who would have needed to stay in hotels whilst their loved one was being treated at QEHB (average hotel cost per night in Birmingham being £95)."
We would love to hear from you if you know of any soldier (whether current or past), family member or any project that might benefit from our help.
